The Customs Commissionerate has got a major Goa Customs at Mormugao where the Commissioner of Customs, Goa sits.
The major Goa Customs, Mormugao is notified for all goods in respect of Import & Export from or to Goa.
The Goa Customs is located at the Marmagoa Harbour in the Mormugao Taluka of Goa.
The Goa Customs is working as an independent Commissionerate since October 2014 with a full-time Commissioner, prior to which it was under the Central Excise Commissionerate with the Commissioner of Central Excise, Goa holding the additional charge. However, the Commissionerate of Customs got a full-time Commissioner only from May 2017.
